Announcing Our 2017 Annual Halloween Costume Parade, Contest & Trick-or-Treat — DON'T MISS IT!
On Saturday, October 28, you can join thousands of happy folks and have a GREAT TIME at our annual event — our 29th in a row!
Our Halloween Costume Event and Parade and Trick-or-Treat is arguably the COUNTY'S LARGEST and it might just be the STATE'S LARGEST.
Saturday, October 28, 2017! Assembly Starts at 10:30 am!
For 2017 we are again holding the event in the parking lot between Rite Aid and Uptown Cheapskate — IT STARTS AT 11:00 AM!
All kids in costumes get candy and trick-or-treat bags, plus coupons from FESTIVAL MERCHANTS!
If you're there JUST to Trick-or-Treat, at 11:00 the Trick-or-Treating begins! You and/or your child are welcome at EVERY STORE in the Festival displaying this COLORFUL and FAMILAR Halloween poster (here it is, at right!). All Trick-or-Treating officially ends at 2:00 pm.
If you're there to Trick-or-Treat AND participate in our COSTUME CONTEST, that also begins at 11:00 am and lasts until noon (after which you go trick-or-treat!). All Trick-or-Treating officially ends at 2:00 pm.
In our contest, the top 10 Finalists get prize bags with great gifts; the 3 top winners receive gift certificates to Festival stores:
• GRAND PRIZE — $150 gift certificate
• Second place — $100 gift certificate
• Third place — $75 gift certificate
In the photo on the right you will see our 2016 winners: Tatiana Johnson, first place, as Jungle Girl.
Jayde Gullion, second place, as Cinderella.
And Braedyn Wood, third place, as a Coke Machine.
You can also see THREE DISNEY PRINCESSES from "The Magic Continues Costume Company" of Forest Hill who helped with the event! Help also was provided by CHUCK E. CHEESE and the ShopRite Mascot!
